The 2 Biggest Manifestor Fears
Fear is something that we don’t speak a whole lot about in Human Design. While fear is certainly a natural part of the human experience, when we apply it to the language of Human Design, we see that there are unique experiences for each of the types that cultivate fear.
As humans of all energy types, we are here to learn about fear, about navigating through it, taking action through it, about decision making through it, and about getting to the other side of fear one journey at a time.
While it is not a system designed to talk specifically about fear, Human Design does provide an opportunity to look into the different fears that we are likely to experience based on our energy types.
WHY DO MANIFESTORS EXPERIENCE FEAR?
Naturally, as this blog is a place for Manifestors, the focus of this article will be on the two biggest fears that Manifestors experience. Before we go into what those fears are, we need to understand that Manifestors are going to experience fears based on our role here.
We are 9% of the population. We know we’re unusual. We know that we’re rare. We know that we are the only energy type that are not here to wait for anyone. We are not here to, in any way shape or form, be responsive to the people around us. We don’t need permission, we don’t necessarily need validation of our actions or our initiations, although sometimes that does feel really good to us, admittedly.
We operate in a bubble; a closed aura
Manifestors operate in a completely different energetic way than anybody else. Which means the fears that we experience are going to be very unlike fears that other energy types experience, because fears that other energy types experience are going to be about responsiveness. It is going to be relevant to their role.
FEAR #1: THE FEAR OF REJECTION
As Manifestors, although we are bold and we have a big energy and we can make big moves, we deeply desire to be seen. We deeply desire to have safety in our vulnerability. We are exquisitely sensitive within our closed aura.
It is a dichotomy; we are both overt and brazen, we can create new things and our energy speaks big. But on the other side, we are sensitive, worried about being vulnerable and we are deeply challenged by the fear of rejection.
The fear of rejection is a primal fear. Every human in the world could attest to the fact that at some point in their lives, they have feared rejection. This is a part of being in a collective, a part of tribal nature. As humans we are hard wired to connect belonging with safety and survival.
Manifestors, however, take on an additional layer around rejection.
Uniquely, the Manifestor fear of rejection is not as much about survivability, as it is about the fear of exposing ourselves, our truest form. As initiators, we are here to create things that we have never created before, that more often or not have never been seen before, have never been done before, have never been known before OR we are revamping things/redoing things and adding our energy to it, recreating things in completely new ways. That very process itself is hugely vulnerable.
A Manifestors’ energy is saying “I’m the only one that feels this urge, I’m the only one that is seeing this vision. Even if none of you support me, even if none of you are onboard with me, I know somehow that this is valuable, this is going to work, this is going to be good for us. So I am going to put myself on the line for this. I am going to put my energy into it. I am going to put my time into it. I’m going to put my passion into it. I’m going to put my money into it (when that’s relevant) and most importantly I am going to put a piece of my soul into this. This whole thing that I’m creating is going to be infused with me. It’s going to be authentically and 100% honestly me”.
That is a very exposing experience.
Imagine filling an entire theatre of people, every seat row after row, full of people, lights go down...and then we walk out onto this dark stage and we turn this spotlight directly onto us.
We have asked people to pay money to come to this show, to be here in our energy and in our atmosphere. And suddenly we realise the entire show is based on us. Everyone is watching. So if the Manfiestor doesn’t perform well, communicate well or entertain well, the rejection is imminent.
It can be akin to being on that stage completely naked, under a spotlight.
The fear of being rejected is centred around our ability to initiate, and it will show up during every initiation. As this is the point at which the fear will be experienced most, it is important to remember that our role here is to initiate. As Manifestors, we are never going to be able to leave that behind. We are never going to be able to put that aside and say “that is too scary, so I’m just not going to initiate today”.
That is not the life that you came here for, that is you rejecting yourself and suppressing down the most powerful part of yourself.
Instead we need to find a way of accepting this fear of rejection. We want people to see us, to recognise us, to love us, to adore us. We want people to be intimate with us, we want to be safe around other people. Even though we fear being rejected by them, we still need to initiate.
When we are initiating, and we feel this fear emerge/bubble it’s way to the surface, as it will inevitably do, we need to love and nurture ourselves through that. We need to take exquisite care of our tender, sensitive, vulnerable Manifestor souls.
If you can’t do that for yourself, then other people can’t do it for you either. So next time you are initiating, and you start to feel that fear come to the surface, take a beat. Ask yourself, what can I do to love and nurture myself in this moment?
FEAR #2: THE FEAR OF MEDIOCRITY
The other key fear that we experience as Manifestors is mediocrity. We fear that our power, as much as it is, will amount to nothing. That this human experience we are having right now will be a waste. It will be lost because we have never quite managed to tap into that power and ability that we know we have.
We all know that as souls we came to this lifetime, and any other lifetime, with a purpose. We didn’t come here meaninglessly or ambiguously. We came here with an intent, a focus. It is a natural part of the human journey to want to discover that purpose.
For Manifestors, the dial is turned up on this pursuit. We carry a sense of purpose, but we also gave ourselves significant power to make it happen. The Manifestor energy. You chose to come as a Manifestor which means whatever purpose you had to fulfil here, you wanted to fulfil it in the style of the Manifestor energy. You knew that the Manifestor energy was going to be one of the big players in getting you fulfilment of that purpose. Otherwise you would have come as something else.
The Manifestor energy cannot be contained or directed at the wrong thing. We cannot spend our lives trying to use our Manifestor selves to perfect being a Generator. We cannot spend our lives trying to use our Manifestor energy to initiate every idea rather than every Creative Urge.
We are here to initiate based off of our Creative Urges. But this power comes with the responsibility of being the people in the Collective that go first. Manifestors go first. We are the ones jumping off the cliff blindfolded while a line of people behind us are watching to see if we land safely at the bottom. Then they’ll jump off after us.
This experience of being a human with Manifestor energy usually results in an internal pressure to ensure big things are achieved in this lifetime. A pressure to leave a legacy, if you will. Manifestors have a deep yearning and commitment to the notion that we did not come here to play small but to leave a big footprint. If you didn’t want to do that, you wouldn’t have come as a Manifestor.
In energetic work, these big energies are always tethered on the other side to the antithesis of that power. Our biggest power is our ability to naturally change the world. So the flip side of that becomes our biggest fear.
What if we get through this entire life and we don’t do anything?
What if we come, and we are so conditioned, so broken, so wounded, so fearful that we never do anything meaningful?
What if we just spin around and around in circles?
It’s ok for us to feel like we are here to do big things. Because we are. If you don’t know what that big thing is yet, please don’t let your fear of being mediocre overtake that truth that resonates to your core.
You are big, you are powerful, you are impacting. You are here for a reason. Manifestors have the ability to change the world, with a spoken word. That is how powerful you are. That is how significant you are in this word. Don’t ever let go of that.
